BHA Congratulates New BLM Director Tracy Stone-Manning on Appointment

BHA congratulates Tracy Stone-Manning on her confirmation as director of the Bureau of Land Management.

Stone-Manning’s long history of bipartisan work in Montana as the director of the Department of Environmental Quality, chief of staff for Governor Bullock and public lands policy lead for the National Wildlife Federation demonstrates that she has the expertise to hit the ground running and effectively lead the nation's largest public lands management agency.

Tracy Stone-ManningThe BLM has not had a director in nearly five years, and BHA members are prepared to roll up our sleeves and work with Director Stone-Manning on our key BLM priorities, including greater sage grouse conservation, habitat connectivity and intact migration corridors, and balanced energy development.

Hunters and anglers also are leading the way enhancing public access on BLM lands. BHA is looking forward to working with Stone-Manning and the BLM to explore ways to create access to landlocked public lands, open new recreational opportunities and establish strategic collaboratives with key stakeholders including members of Congress and Western leaders.
