Join AFI Idaho at North Idaho Archery, a veteran owned and operated business, in Coeur d’Alene, ID for a crash course in backcountry first-aid and trauma care.
What do you do if your buddy accidently sends a broadhead through your or his leg. What do you do when someone sustains a gunshot wound via a negligent hunter? How about when you’re by yourself and you fall and impale an arm or leg on a branch? Did you know you can bleed to death in under 3 minutes? How can you prevent a disaster from turning into a tragedy? Well, we’ve got the answers and the gear you need to survive a backcountry nightmare.
This half-day class will be presented by Response Ready Medical, also a veteran/first responder owned and operated business, and focus heavily on trauma care. Topics will include torniquet application, wound packing and care, shock prevention, and basic trauma patient assessment.
Open to all - free for veterans and $25 for non-veterans.
