Have you been interested in hunting but haven't had the chance to learn? Backcountry Hunters & Anglers has partnered with Arizona Game and Fish, Northern Arizona Shooting Range, and Quail Forever to offer a free, all-inclusive program near Sedona, AZ that will introduce you to hunting while educating you on firearm safety, access to public lands, ethical hunting, the history of conservation and the hunter's role and how to care for and butcher quail and rabbits. Participants will also actively participate in a quail and rabbit hunt (including cleaning and cooking the game), camp with others, and learn how to hunt with bird dogs!
Please note: This event will meet at Northern Arizona Shooting Range (east of Flagstaff) on Nov 13, at 10 AM to Noon for firearm safety and shooting practice. The following weekend, we will meet at 8AM on Nov 20th (or camp overnight on the 19th) at campspot on the Coconino National Forest south of Sedona and north of Cottonwood.
You must also be able to provide your own tent, sleeping bag, and pillow and be able to commit to participating on Friday, November 13th.
If you want to attend but registration is full, please email Wolf Gumerman ([email protected]) to be put on a waitlist. Thank you!
