Members of the Armed Forces Initiative, join us for our joint AFI and Patrol Base Abbate Turkey Camp in Thompson Falls, Montana April 13-17 for a weekend of chasing gobblers! At this camp we will hone our turkey hunting skills and strengthen our connection to our community. We will hold fireside chats focused on everything from sharing hunting knowledge to how we veterans can stay in the fight. No prior experience is needed. This event is open to all veterans and will be a great time to talk all things conservation and connect with other veterans. Attendance is limited so please apply early! Attendees are expected to have basic provisions for turkey hunting such as a shotgun, however some assistance may be available via loaner gear.
Exact Packing List will be in the OPORD distributed to attendees. Expect to bring:
- Cold weather clothing
- Wet weather clothing
- Shotgun outfitted for turkey (w/ Ammunition)
- Sleeping bag
- Hygiene kit
- Boots with ankle support
Note: We have space for only 6 AFI members for this event.

We have a limited donation to pay for flights into Missoula if needed.
