Learn how to ice fish for trout in the Cuyana Area Mine Pits and learn about the local public lands. Meeting location is at the Pennington Mine Lake Boat Launch.
A volunteer mentored trip to catch hard water trout. Gear is available to borrow if needed.
Attendees can expect to learn:

- Cuyana area public lands history and access
- Bait vs lures for the ice
- Early ice vs late ice fishing

Who can attend:
- This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
- You do not need to be a BHA member to attend
(but we sure would appreciate it if you were)
What to bring:
Please bring any ice fishing gear you have.
BHA AFI can drill holes for everyone and buy bait for all but extra rods, lures, tackle, and chairs are all very useful
Plan on packing a lunch and snacks.
BHA AFI will have brats and burgers available for all so no need to necessarily bring your own lunch.
