Growing up in Utah, Filip understands the immeasurable value of our public lands. A lifelong angler, he has traveled across the west to chase countless species from Coho Salmon in Oregon to the Common Carp in the ponds he grew up near. However, Filip holds a special affinity for small streams and native fish which he feels gives him an opportunity to explore the more remote and hard to access reaches of our public lands. An equal opportunity hunter, Filip spends his falls hunting big and small game alike, with a particular fondness for the under-appreciated Jackrabbit. Whether it's in the backcountry or on the trails near his home, public lands offer a sanctuary to recharge, relax, and grow as a person, without which Filip would not be who he is today. 

Before joining BHA as Habitat Stewardship Coordinator, Filip served as a Conservation Coordinator on the Utah BHA board helping to organize and complete stewardship projects across the state. He is excited for the opportunity to expand his role and be able to help conserve, enhance, and connect habitat.
