Utah Leadership Opportunities

Volunteer With Utah BHA

Are you interested in taking the next step in your conservation journey as a hunter and/or angler? If so, we encourage you to apply to join our Utah Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) Chapter Board! We are currently looking to fill the following Board position:

  • Chapter Chair-Elect (non-voting)

As a Board member, you will help us design and implement our strategic approach to enhance and maintain hunting and fishing access for sportsmen and women throughout Utah while ensuring our wildlife management follows the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. To be eligible to apply, you must be a current BHA member, reside in Utah, and be willing to serve a 3-year term.

Below you will find a detailed description, responsibility list, and recommended skill sets for the position. While these descriptions provide an overview of the type of candidate we’re looking for, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t perfectly align with what’s listed. We prioritize individuals who are passionate about our public lands, waters, and wildlife and are willing to learn and jump in to help out where needed. You should be aware that board members are all volunteers (i.e., you will not receive any monetary compensation), which means you’ll have to balance your board responsibilities with your day-to-day lives. That being said, our existing board members are here to mentor you and ensure that you are prepared to succeed in your new role.

If you are interested in applying for any of this position, please CLICK HERE to fill out your application. We will begin scheduling interviews with selected candidates as applications are submitted.
