7th Annual Family Squirrel Camp Recap

The 7th Annual 2023 Family Squirrel Camp hosted by the Arizona Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and the Arizona Wildlife Federation is in the books!

This event just keeps getting better and better. This year, a diverse group of almost fifty hunters attended the camp. Brand new hunters alongside those with vast experience camped on Northern Arizona’s beautiful public lands where they shared stories, food, made new friends, and of course chased bushytails.

This year’s event included a small game hunting talk from our own Arizona Game and Fish Department, A flintlock muzzleloader presentation, a wild game potluck dinner that was simply out of this world, squirrel processing demos, and an amazing falconry program from Sky Island Falconry.

If this all sounds like fun to you, we hope to see you there next year. Don’t hesitate to register though because this camp fills up quickly. This year, all spaces were filled in the first 24 hours of opening registration!
