Calling all Texas BHA members and non-members interested in volunteering for a half day service project at one of DFWs premiere public land areas!
Please join us Saturday morning, March 2nd for the USACE Grapevine Lake clean-up event where we’ll support fellow volunteers’ pick-up trash/litter and debris. Please bring a pair of work gloves, water, sunscreen/bug spray, and snacks for yourself. Trash bags and bottled water will be provided as well. Please also RSVP for the event so BHA & USACE can plan accordingly.
The meeting place will be at the Grapevine Lake Project Office to sign volunteer forms, discuss the cleanup area(s) where USACE would like us to focus, and then breakout into cleanup teams to pick up trash and debris.
Approximate schedule:
8:00am to 8:45am - Meet at USACE Grapevine Lake office to fill out USACE volunteer forms, discuss clean-up area(s), teams' assignments, and then travel to clean-up areas.
8:45am to 11:15am - Clean-up in USACE recommended areas.
11:15am to 12:00pm - Unload trash/litter and depart site. Please note, the trash/litter unloading area will likely be at a different USACE location than the cleanup areas.
