A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Public Lands Pint Night in Fairbanks on July 22nd!

It was a fantastic evening of great conversations and community at Black Spruce Brewing Company. We were excited to welcome wildlife researcher Dr. Ellen Candler at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and her graduate student Ian, who shared fascinating insights into Alaska’s scavengers, resource utilization relationships, and the important role that “offal” plays in supporting wildlife across the landscape. Thanks to everyone who came out, asked thoughtful questions, and helped make it such an engaging discussion. Events like these remind us that conservation starts with curious people coming together to learn from one another. A special thank you to Black Spruce Brewing Company for hosting us and for helping make this event possible.

We appreciate everyone who spent their Wednesday evening supporting public lands, wildlife, and the Alaska hunting and angling community. We look forward to seeing you at the next Alaska BHA event!

There is an opportunity to participate in this program in Southeast Alaska for Sitka Blacktail harvest as well as Fairbanks area for other species. Please reach out to Dr. Ellen Candler at emcandler@alaska.edu for more information and to get involved!

Congrats to our winner of BHA swag, Maddie! Maddie and other attendees supported the Alaska Chapter through our Duck Race listing and were entered to win a BHA swag pack.
