BHA Opposes Solar Development in Priority Habitat, Migration Corridors, and Popular Public Land Hunting Grounds

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recently released a Draft Program Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) that will determine the future of solar energy development on federal public lands across 11 western states. The BLM anticipates permitting approximately 700,000 acres for utility-scale solar development. Striped Bass Addendum II to Amendment 7: ASMFC Winter Meeting Recap

Late last year, ASMFC’s Striped Bass Board approved the development of Addendum II , which was intended to “build upon the 2023 emergency action by considering management measures intended to reduce fishing mortality to the target level in 2024”. On January 18, the Good Samaritan Remediation of Abandoned Hardrock Mines Act (S. 2781) was passed by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee via voice vote.
