Sophia grew up surrounded by the wonders of western Oregon and frequently found herself in the quiet landscapes of Montana. The outdoors became a large part of her life through the resources it provided her family and the lessons her grandparents shared during adventures in Trout Creek. Throughout her childhood, she spent many hours in the wilderness, strengthening her connection to public lands. You can often find her hiking, camping, painting, spending time with her dog, or shooting her bow whenever she gets the chance.

Her father’s influence throughout her life made the outdoors something especially near and dear to her heart, shaping her passion around the values he instilled in her. She is pursuing her education at the University of Montana, where she is expanding her understanding of different ecosystems and exploring ways to conserve the health and beauty of our environment and wildlife.

Sophia is grateful to have grown up surrounded by trees and mountains and feels fortunate to now call another beautiful place home. She is proud to be part of an organization dedicated to protecting those spaces and looks forward to where her interest in conservation will take her.
