Kristen is the Administration & Finance Manager at Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and also leads the organization’s HR department.

Born and raised in Minnesota, she moved to Montana for the mountains and stayed for the hikes. Along the way, she added rafting, fishing, and camping to the list. These days, you’ll most likely find her out exploring with her Australian Shepherd, Lily.

Before joining BHA, Kristen worked as a producer in outdoor video production, helping tell stories that highlight real people living and connecting with the land. That experience shaped her appreciation for conservation and the importance of keeping those places and the stories behind them alive.

Whether she’s keeping things running behind the scenes or out on a trail, she’s committed to advocating for public lands and making sure they remain accessible, wild, and worth showing up for.
