WY BHA Rids State Lands of 940 Pounds of Trash

On April 10, 2021, Wyoming BHA Chapter volunteers near Sheridan, WY helped clean up garbage and abandoned property from a State Lands and Investments property. The Lands and Investments property borders two Game and Fish walk in areas near Acme Wyoming. The Sheridan BHA team began working with the Wyoming State Lands and Investments personnel two years ago to identify priority areas of concern where irresponsible recreational shooting over the years has resulted in accumulation of litter including spent brass casings and shotgun shells, clay pigeons, targets, tin cans, broken glass bottles and believe it or not a washing machine. The volunteers were from BHA, Game and Fish, Forest Service and State Lands and Investments. Thanks to the efforts of our chapter leaders and volunteers we picked up 940 pounds of garbage in one day.

The next cleanup event is 4/17/2021 at Moorcroft. Please check it out on our upcoming events page and RSVP if you can make it.
