Looking to take that first step towards hunting with a shotgun or just hone your shotgun technique? Or just wanting to spend some range time with friends? Join Backcountry Hunters & Anglers on July 16th, 2022 to get dialed in and have all of your questions answered. Instruction will be provided by Suzanne Freehauf, a NRA Certified Shotgun instructor, and The Well Armed Woman - Northern Colorado Chapter Leader. This clinic will start with 1 hour of classroom instruction (everything you need to know about types & parts of shotguns, chokes, shotgun shells) and 2 hours of honing your skills on the trap range, followed by a BBQ lunch. If you’re feeling up to it, take your new skills to the Sporting Clay range after lunch to practice what you’ve learned!
Your registration fee pays for professional instruction, BBQ lunch, and range time. Shotgun rentals are available at the range clubhouse for those who need them. Ammunition, eye and ear protection are also available for purchase at the range clubhouse. There are only 10 spaces available. Please add your name to the waiting list here if the event is sold out.
Participant Requirements:
- Bring your own shotgun or rent one from the clubhouse
- Be aged 18 years or older
- Respect all participants and facilitators
- Listen to and adhere to instructions from mentors and facilitators
- Make safety your first priority
