We are very excited to host a Women in the Woods (WitW) event! Our club, our state chapter, the Armed Forces Initiative, and our national headquarters staff are partnering for this event and we are looking forward to more potential partners like the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program. This event will take place at the Fort Bragg Clay Target Center, a truly tremendous facility. 50 women will receive:
- an introduction to the fastest growing conservation group in the nation, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers
- information on our public lands and why you are a public landowner
- firearm instruction which will include participation in rounds of trap shooting (clay pigeons)
The event will end after the provided lunch however, there will be a follow-on pint night at 6pm that evening which will be an opportunity for storytelling, feedback and interviews with the participants, and most importantly, socializing!
