Join the Wisconsin BHA Chapter for a fun afternoon spearfishing for pan fish on beautiful Gilas Lake. Bring your snorkel masks and join us for a day in the water chasing crappie, bluegill, and perch with Hawaiian slings (underwater pole spears). We will fry up our catch for a shore lunch of fish tacos at the boat launch to cap off the day.
There will be a limited number of spears available for people to use, so attendees should bring their own spears if they want to be assured opportunity.
Attendees must have a valid fishing license and bring their own masks and breathing tubes. Fins and wetsuits are recommended.
**There WILL NOT be a lifeguard or anyone trained in water rescue in attendance! Each attendee is responsible for his or her own safety!!! If there are any doubts in your swimming ability, bring and wear a life jacket.
