Join the Indiana Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and the Friends of the White River for a volunteer Clean-Up day at River Station on Saturday, June 12th from Noon-4pm. River Station is an unimproved public access site on the White River just north of downtown Indianapolis. A popular recreational fishing and boat launch site, it is unfortunately also a regular victim of illegal dumping.
Several other volunteer groups will be coordinating on June 12th to clean up nearly 20 acres of riparian wildlife habitat in the heart of the city.
Free Parking is available at Candlewood Suites adjacent to the work site:
1152 N White River Pkwy W Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46222
What to bring:
Work Gloves and outdoor work clothing.
Work, hiking, or rubber boots a plus due to muddy conditions.
Pick-up trucks will be helpful for hauling the nearly 150 tires out of the river bottom.
Change of clothes for Pint Night!
Following the Cleanup, join us across the river for a Pint Night at Rad Brewing Company's at 5pm.
414 Dorman St, Indianapolis, IN 46202
