The Armed Forces Initiative (AFI) is a Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) program focused on creating conservationists hosted by the military community. Washington AFI and Washington Department of Public Resources is hosting a gun pit clean up at the Elbe WA Ashford public shooting area!
This stewardship project aims to restore the integrity of our public lands and promote conservation in the majestic state of WA. Public land shooting ranges are critical to many of us as an economical way to maintain or learn new shooting skills. They are also often important to new hunters and shooters. Regularly cleaning public shooting areas ensure they will be available for continued use in the future and minimizes the impact on the environment. We are partnering with Trash No Land (www.trashnoland.org), they will be providing tools and lunch.
