Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Nadia Marji

A California native, Nadia Marji’s first introduction to the outdoors took the form of fishing at Lake Hemet in the San Jacinto Mountains. Fast forward 14 years and a move five states to the east, and Nadia began adding sporting clays, and Kansas hunts for dove, turkey, and deer to her repertoire. After becoming an archery hunter in her late 20s, Nadia utilized her growing set of outdoor skills to develop and co-lead Kansas’ first-ever women-only Hunter Education course curriculum. Whether through Hunter Education or Becoming an Outdoors-woman programming, Nadia enjoys volunteering her time to teach others about firearms safety, wingshooting, archery, fish cleaning, outdoor cooking and how to access public lands.

A graduate of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, Nadia earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication and Minor in Marketing in 2012 before onboarding with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. There, she worked her way up through the ranks holding positions ranging from Publications Writer II to serving as Kansas Wildlife and Parks magazine’s first female Executive Editor. After 11+ years with the Department, Nadia hung up her KDWP hat as Chief of Public Affairs & Engagement Officer – a position she held through May 2024.

Nadia joined BHA as Vice President of Marketing and Communications in May 2024, bringing with her 10+ years of progressive strategic communications, public relations, marketing, and leadership experience. She is a two-time national award winner in the areas of publications and communication campaigns, and remains the only Kansan to have ever achieved the internationally-recognized Communication Management Professional certification.

Nadia resides in Bonner Springs, KS with her English Bulldog, “Louie,” though her travels have taken her deep sea fishing off the coast of Kauaʻi to hiking the foothills of Denali National Park & Preserve in Alaska.
