Are you interested in hunting but not sure how to get started? Are you a new hunter, looking to sharpen your skills? The Utah Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Chapter in partnership with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is hosting their annual Hunting for Sustainability program this spring. The 6-week workshop will provide new and adult-onset hunters with training on how to be safe in the field, good stewards of wildlife, and the basic skills necessary to be a successful big game hunter.
The workshops will include topics on conservation, gear, animal behavior, scouting, hunting tactics, regulations, firearm practice, safety, plus the opportunity to field dress, butcher, and cook a deer. In addition, students will receive a free 1-year OnX Hunt membership and a BHA blaze orange hat.
Participation is by application only. Interested participants should apply at the link below. Application deadline is March 7th. Applicants must be 18 years or older and have completed Hunter Education or are a participant of the Utah Trial Hunting Program.
