"United We Stand for Public Lands" Campaign
Across the West and beyond, elected officials opposed to public lands are advancing increasingly sophisticated and well-funded efforts to sell off, transfer, and privatize the wild places that belong to all of us. From legislative proposals that bypass public input to backroom deals shielded from scrutiny, these schemes are gaining traction—setting dangerous precedents and threatening to erode our public lands legacy acre by acre.
At BHA, we don’t wait for funding to stand up for what’s right. We take action – because we know the stakes are too high to sit back. But to stay nimble, responsive, and effective in these fights, BHA needs the backing of passionate conservationists like you.
A Gift – Matched
Inspired by BHA’s work in the arena, a generous supporter has recently stepped up with a $15,000 match challenge. Every dollar you invest in BHA's "United We Stand for Public Lands" campaign will be doubled, up to $15,000. That means we can raise $30,000 to defend the public lands that define our identity and our freedom.
This is a call to stand united—for wild country, clean water, abundant wildlife, and the freedom to hunt and fish on lands that belong to all of us.
Now's The Time
BHA’s strength has always come from grassroots support—from members like you who believe in boots-on-the-ground advocacy and bold, unapologetic defense of what’s right.
Now we’re pulling together resources needed to push back against any attempt to sell off, roll back, or give away what belongs to all of us through targeted advocacy in the halls of power, and grassroots mobilization in key states and districts.
While this page is for individual donations, this effort is truly collective. We’ve already secured financial support from BHA chapters across the U.S., our North American Board members, and key foundation partners who recognize the urgency of this moment.
If you’ve ever wondered when the time would come to rise up and defend our public lands, this is it.
Let's Stand United
Make a gift today and it will be doubled. And all of it goes straight to the fight.
Let’s show Congress that America's public land owners won't fall divided. Let's show 'em United We Stand For Public Lands.
