We will be camping on Friday and Saturday nights just outside the National Monument and will have plenty of space for anyone to join. The campout will include a basic Turkey Hunting 101 by chapter leadership on Friday night, and we encourage everyone to go afield Sat & Sun to hopefully bag a gobbler.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT! HOWEVER, YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR SPACE BY PURCHASING A $35 TICKET WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED TO YOU WHEN YOU SHOW UP TO THE EVENT.
Required Equipment:
- 2022-2023 Hunting License
- Upland Bird Stamp
- Solid boots & hiking equipment
- Gun and shot. Recommended turkey shot. Non-lead only
Suggested Equipment:
- Tent
- Sleeping bag
- Appropriate turkey hunting attire (camouflage, face covering, gloves, etc)
- Rain coat
- Cooler
California Chapter board members will bring a grill and some grub, EZ up, spare tent or two, firepit, and camp essentials.
