September is Public Lands Month and we continue our nationwide boots on the ground campaign in support! Please join the NC Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers as we team up with the Uwharrie National Forest to clean up Kings Mountain Point on Badin Lake.
This special multi-use area boasts 4 piers to fish from and is a go to recreation destination for many of our larger cities. Like a lot of our great public places that are easily accessible, litter builds up at the campground and on the shoreline and we need your help!
Terry Savery from the Forest Service will be leading this event and coordination. Everyone will meet at the red picnic pavilion to sign in and grab gloves and trash bags. From there the Forest Service will point out areas that need to be cleaned.
