event_description: Phase 2 of the Spawn Creek habitat improvement project launches on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Copy and past this link to read about Phase 1: https://www.backcountryhunters.org/usu_college_club_leads_spawn_creek_fence_removal_project To complete this project USFW is looking for help clearing bird boxes, repairing sections of bucking pole fencing, packing in materials for the new fence section, picking up trash along the the trail or camp site, and removing vegetation from new fence site. RSVP required: utahstatebhabackcountryhunters.org We will meet at the US Forest Service office at the mouth of Logan Canyon at 8 AM. Bring gloves, hiking boots, water, and lunch and be ready for a fun day in a very beautiful valley in our local mountains. There is a chance that you can get Dedicated Hunter credit for this activity, and especially if you have horses, as we need to move a lot of material to the upper end of the fence. Contact Paul Chase at pchasefs.fed.us to inquire about Dedicated Hunter hours for this project.Spawn Creek Trailhead location: 1.7 miles from the Temple Fork turnoff which is 15 miles up Logan Canyon (0.4 miles beyond the Blind Hollow trailhead)—GPS: N41*49590" W111*34518")
