The Maine BHA team is hosting a day of ice fishing and socially distant chit chat in Southern Maine. This event is open to everyone from first timers to experienced hard water anglers. Whether you’re looking to get out fishing, catch up on the past hunting season, or meet new folks, all are welcome. If you’re new to ice fishing, we will have equipment on site for demonstration and instruction. Ed Snell of Frosty Flags Guide Service will be on hand with gear and expertise. Join us on Little Ossipee Pond (aka Little Ossipee Lake) in Waterboro, Maine. The pond offers a great variety of species from panfish to trout.
Remember to have your 2021 Maine fishing license if you plan to fish, but everyone is welcome to watch and learn. Fishing licenses can be purchased at https://www.maine.gov/ifw/. 1-Day Fishing resident or non-resident license for $11; full-year licenses are $25 for residents; 3-day, 7-day and season licenses are available for non-residents.
All attendees must comply with Maine CDC requirements for masking in public places; travelers from states other than New Hampshire and Vermont must comply with Maine’s requirements for either quarantine or testing. Please do not attend if you or someone near you has been experiencing any possible COVID symptoms.
