It’s almost hunting season! Get ready for this Fall with Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and Artemis Sportswomen. Gather with fellow hunting and angling conservationists and public land advocates to share your knowledge and experiences and learn from others.
Please join us whether you are an experienced hunter, new to hunting, or just curious.
Activities include:
- Introduction to bows (traditional, compound, and crossbows) and bowhunting
- What’s in your hunting pack?
- Informal archery shooting with your friends or new acquaintances
- Deer stands, saddle hunting, ground blinds, and leafy-suit hunting
- How to find a hunting spot
- BHA Women in the Woods hunting forum co-hosted by Artemis Sportswomen
For anyone interested there will be an informal gathering at Maine Beer Company in Freeport after the event.
