Join us for our first ever state chapter weekend event at Baker Creek State Park located on beautiful Lake Thurmond. We will have an action packed and fun filled weekend chasing turkeys, catching fish, cooking, eating, sharing stories and general fellowship. Baker Creek offers close access to world class fishing on Lake Thurmond as well as access to thousands of acres of public land for hunting turkeys. We will have an informal meet and greet on Thursday evening, a trade blanket gear swap and roaming potluck dinner on Friday evening and a guest speaker on Saturday, Mr. Ron Jolly from Turkeys For Tomorrow. On Friday at 3:30PM John Browning will discuss the many wild turkey research projects TFT and Auburn University are conducting to investigate the decline of wild turkey populations across the Southeast. Whether you want to hunt turkeys, fish, or just relax around camp and enjoy the view, this weekend will provide everything a public land and water user needs to have a great time. Space is limited so sign up and secure your site as soon as possible.
