Why You Should Want to Attend:
Learn about AFI, conservation policies, and learn Surf Fishing on public waterways of Southern California. This Breakfast and learn-to-fish event. Attendees will be mentored through surf fishing. BHA mentors will host attendees talking through the ins and outs of surf fishing. After the day on the water, our SOCAL liaison will discuss how fishing affects conservation in CA, what is the North American model of conservation, and how participants can use their voices as members of the military community to support BHA's conservation mission.
Attendees can expect classes on:
-Surf Fishing species and habitat
-Rod/reel and gear selection
-Casting and retrieval skills
-History of Public land and waters
-The North American model of wildlife conservation

Who can attend:
This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
You do not need to be a BHA member to attend
(but we sure would appreciate it if you were)
