event_description: Join the Northern Colorado chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for a trash cleanup day at Smith Lake and Wellington State Wildlife Areas on June 4th! The goal is to pack out trash and debris from these spots and give back to the places we enjoy to hunt and fish. The cleanup will begin at Smith Lake SWA at 10 am and then we will convoy over to Wellington SWA after we have Smith swept up. The meeting address is: 2208 E Co Rd 66 Wellington, CO 80549.Trash bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, and water will be provided. Participants should bring a lunch or snacks for the day. Please dress appropriately for the weather and work at hand. A few folks with waders would be welcome, you never know what we might find on the water’s edge. Binoculars might also be handy to get a look at some of the local breeding waterfowl!Bring your family and friends and let’s pack the trash out to help keep wild places wild  June 4th!
