Join Texas BHA for a family friendly small game hunt and cookout on public lands! It's open season for Feral Hogs, Squirrels, Furbearers, Rabbits, & Hares. Hunters are personally responsible for knowing and obeying all laws, including: hunter orange and obtaining their Annual Public Hunting permit. People will hunt on their own in the morning then gather around noon for a wild game potluck including wild game boudin, Corned Venison, and duck poppers. Please bring your own dish to share! You'll also need to bring your hunting gear, drinks and any cooking gear although other attendees might also be able to help out. Cell coverage is limited in this area so plan accordingly.
Hunt - Caddo Grasslands WMA
Lunch - Bois D'arc trailhead and campground (approximate address: 5969 FM 409 Telephone, TX 75488)
If someone (new hunters) needs assistance in developing a hunt plan they should contact Jesse Auer in advance. The same is true if they need help with cooking or heating their dish. RSVP on the Facebook event and the BHA events page is appreciated.
