event_description: Join the California Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers April 17 in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range as we tackle a riparian restoration project in Coordination with the Bureau of Land Management. Where:Lamont Meadow (Meet at the BLM South Fork Fire Station in Canebrake, CA)What:Wildlife-friendly fencing repair around the Lamont Meadow riparian area.Existing fencing around the riparian area has been cut, rotted out or trampled leaving the habitat subject to degradation from grazing. The team will meet at the BLM South Fork Fire Station in the Sierra Nevada foothill town of Canebrake and then head up a dirt road to the project site. 4x4 vehicles with high clearance are not required but are preferred.The team will work in the morning in the scenic meadow and then enjoy lunch at the project site. Depending on the number of volunteers the project should be completed by early afternoon, giving BHA members a chance to explore neighboring canyons and meadows which hold quail, mule deer, bear and other species.When:Saturday April 17th, 2021 at 9:30 amPlease RSVP so we can have an accurate headcount
