The Seminole Forest Small Game Hunt is back! Last year’s event was attended by over 20 sportsmen and women with several successful first-time hunters harvesting squirrels, rabbits and doves.
Rendezvous at the check station off of State Road 46 located at Google Coordinates (28.8240150, -81.4288810) on Sunday, January 17th at 6:30 AM.
Seminole Forest composes more than 12,000 acres and is part of a vast network of public lands that protect thousands of acres of streams, springs, sand pine scrub, swamps and pine flatwoods associated with the Wekiva and St. Johns rivers. Blackwater Creek flows through the forest into the Wekiva River, which forms the area's eastern boundary.
All participants must have a Florida Hunting License and Management Area Permit.
