Join NMBHA and the USFS as we install new fencing around the Sargent KV Trick Tank in order to improve the water source for wildlife.
We will meet at the USFS Ranger Station in Magdalena at 203 1st Street Magdalena, NM 87825 at 8:00am.
From the Forest Service office, we will carpool out to the project site which will take approximately one hour. Volunteers should be ready for a short hike and moderate labor. The Forest Service will have all materials on-site and will provide necessary specialty fencing tools, though pliers/fencing pliers would be helpful if you have some that you want to bring.
Volunteers should plan on bringing work gloves, sturdy boots, appropriate clothing, sun protection, sunglasses/safety glasses, as well as water, snacks, and a lunch. Be prepared for the weather, including possible rain or sunny days. This event is kid friendly.
