For the third year in a row, the Montana Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is partnering with the Montana Wilderness Association to open and maintain remote trails on our public lands.
This year, we're headed into the Sapphire Wilderness Study Area to work on trails leading to and around Kent Lake, a scenic highlight of the Sapphires.
By day, we'll be maintaining trails and removing deadfall, but in the evenings we'll be swapping stories around the campfire.
This three-night stewardship project is a great opportunity to explore the wild backcountry of the Sapphire Mountains while helping improve access for hunters, anglers and other public land owners.
