Join the Alaska Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and the Armed Forces Initiative in partnership and the US Forest Service to help install fencing along the banks of the Russian River to help prevent bank erosion during fishing season.
Volunteers should bring waders/hip boots (if you don't have them no worries, you can still help in hiking boots), sun screen, sun glasses, work gloves, and any snacks or drinks they desire. This event is moderately physical and will consist of hauling fencing/stakes and some picket pounding.
Afterwards we will head to Cooper Landing Brewing to have some local brews and discuss salmon fishing on the Russian. Be sure to RSVP for that event spearately on our website. The Stream Watch Pint Night is one is a series sponsored nationally by onX Hunt!
