event_description: We are launching a Women in the Wood R3 series led by women for women interested in taking the next step to learn more about hunting, angling, and conservation. Well be hosting one session per month and will be covering different topics starting with hunting basics and ending with getting participants out in the field this Fall. Our first session will be Sunday, March 3rd at the Welsh Rabbit, where in addition to some great information, we will be enjoying some great Tapas, Beer, and Wine thanks to the Welsh Rabbit and Cambium Dining Group. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet as well be going over the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website, drawing process, and general online resources that will be helpful to new hunters. There is a $30 to this event to help cover the cost of some great resources that well be sending you home with. Intro to hunting:Reviewing types of hunts: big game, small game, waterfowl, turkey, fishingDiscussion: Understanding your options - big game: over the counter (OTC) vs. draw, navigating the CO draw system, how to choose a unit, manner of take, etcRules/Regulations:Discussion of Hunters Ed requirements and options for course completionReview of Colorado Parks and Wildlife Game BrochuresConservation Impact/History:Understanding the very important role hunting and angling has played and continues to play in our conservation historyEthics:Understanding Ethics - Discussing fair chase, our responsibility as hunters and anglers, and beyond.Thanks to Our Hosts and Sponsors!

We are launching a Women in the Wood R3 series led by women for women interested in taking the next step to learn more about hunting, angling, and conservation. We'll be hosting one session per month and will be covering different topics starting with hunting basics and ending with getting participants out in the field this Fall.
