R3: Hunter/Angler Recruitment, Retention & Reactivation

The long-term trends of declining numbers of hunters and anglers is well documented, but the past need not dictate the future. NC BHA is robustly involved with and leading efforts to recruit new North Carolina hunters and anglers, and give existing hunters and anglers every good reason to stay involved with these pursuits.

Our growing membership base is open and welcoming. Our Pint Nights and events are fabulous ways to meet new friends. Our Facebook page frequently connects new members with other hunters and anglers for trips across the state. And we are dedicated to programming that welcomes, trains, and equips new ranks of hunters and anglers. Our first collegiate chapter was founded at North Carolina State University and we are working with students and faculty at Appalachian State University, Western Carolina University, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to further BHA’s reach into academia and cultivate the conservation leaders of tomorrow.
