event_description: Join BHA and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in the beautiful Upper Colorado River region near the Pumphouse Recreation Area in removing sheep-wire fencing impacting big game movement. We will be camping on public land Friday & Saturday night, working all day Saturday, and celebrating our efforts with a wild game potluck (bonus points for wild game dishes). This is a great opportunity to meet fellow public land owners from around the state while doing a little conservation work. Event Schedule: Friday July 26thArrive anytime Friday at the Pumphouse Recreation Area. There will be signs directing folks to the campsite. You will be on your own for dinner. BHA will provide beer and soft drinks at the campfire. Saturday July 27th8 am: BHA will brew up coffee in the morning, but campers will be on their own for breakfast. 8:30 am: Brief introductions, and safety talk. 8:30-5:00 pm: Pull fencing with a break for lunch provided by BHA (sandwiches, chips, fruit, drinks) 6 pm: Potluck dinner and campfire at campsite. Bring any food you would like to share with folks (wild game dishes are especially prized). Turn right (west) onto Co Rd 1/Trough Rd. There may be room for camper trailers at our site or at the nearby, first come first serve campground. There will be water available at the nearby Pumphouse campgroundWhat to BringVolunteers are encouraged to bring leather work gloves, pliers, wire cutters, buckets, water bottle or anything else you feel helpful. BHA will provide extra gloves, pliers, and wire cutters. Also bring safety glasses (sunglasses are fine), plenty of water, sunscreen, bug spray, and proper clothing for working outside and removing fence (jeans, boots, long-sleeve shirt). Never a bad idea to throw in foul weather gear as well.Camping is free. For those wanting to camp bring camping gear and make sure you have enough food/ fuel for breakfasts, snacks, and 2 dinners.See at the Pumphouse Rec. Area!

Pumphouse Recreation Area is located along the Colorado river 26 miles west of Kremmling, CO
