At Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, we believe in preserving and advocating for the wild places that make our backcountry adventures possible. That’s why we’ve teamed up with breweries across the U.S. to launch a Public Lands Pale Ale initiative—a collaborative brew dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the conservation of our wild public lands, waters, and wildlife.
By enjoying a pint of this specially crafted ale from the breweries listed here, you’re not just savoring a great beer; you’re also supporting BHA’s work to ensure the future of the places where we hunt, fish, and roam. Explore the map below to find a participating brewery near you and join us in raising a glass to public lands access!
How It Works
- Participating breweries will craft a Public Lands Pale Ale or put their own spin on it with a Public Lands pilsner, porter, or any style they prefer most!
- A portion of the breweries’ profits from the specially-made products – typically 2% of keg or packaged wholesale sales and/or $1 per draft pint sold – are then donated to BHA.
- In return, BHA will be shouting out the names of participating breweries across our website, newsletters, and social media throughout the month of September.

The Recipe
Some breweries followed this open recipe, while others put their own spin on a brew to support our mission. We hope you enjoy!
