Throughout Public Lands Month (September), BHA members across the continent will be partaking in BHA's Public Land Pack Out, a self-driven, trash-ridding campaign to clean our public lands and waters of more than 1,000 bags of rubbish.
As part of this effort, the Montana Chapter - working alongside Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks - is hosting a socially distanced group Pack Out on National Public Lands Day, Saturday, September 26th, at the newly acquired C. Ben White Memorial Fishing Access Site near Conner, MT. This will be a brand new, publicly accessible property, an acquisition that was supported by the Montana Chapter back in March 2020, so it'll be great to help get it cleaned up before it opens.

Please bring a water bottle, work gloves and masks, if you'd like, though we should be able to keep proper social distancing at this outdoor event. Montana BHA will provide refreshments and lunch.
To support this effort, our friends at First Lite have generously offered to donate $5 to BHA for every bag of trash packed out, up to $5,000 during the month of September. First Lite also will be giving away 20 gift cards valued at $100 each to the top 20 public land trash packers. Additionally, 10 gift cards will be given away throughout the month to those who share a photo of the Public Land Pack Out on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #publiclandpackout and #publiclandowner.
If you can't join us for this in-person group event, please do what you can for the Public Land Pack Out on your own!
