The second event of the North Idaho Public Land Pop-Up series will be cleaning up a shooting pit on National Forest Road 2596, or more commonly known as the Sand Hill Road near the Stampede OHV Park. Come join us after work or school for a fun evening! Meet on site, clean up some trash, cook some hot dogs, have a beverage, and chat with friends.
The North Idaho Public Land Pop-Up events will be held in the evening on the first Tuesday of every month throughout the summer, so mark your calendars for July 1, and August 5. Different locations each time, but same great camaraderie and fun! Expect to do about an hour or two of work such as picking up trash or pulling weeds, then socialize around a campfire with friends. Each participant will get a punch card: How many punches can you get for public land? Punches get you entered into the raffle drawing at the end of the series.
The whole family is welcome to attend, including well mannered 4 legged friends. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves, we'll provide the trash bags. Come prepared for the weather, bugs, sun, and fun! Camp chairs are handy for hanging out with friends after the work is done.
