Join BHA's Collegiate Program and the University of Montana BHA to celebrate Public Lands Month!
Volunteers should meet on campus behind the College of Forestry and Conservation Buildling at 5pm to carpool to the worksite. From there we will caravan up Miller Creek on Lolo National Forest to a popular shooting area to pick up trash. Volunteers should bring work gloves if they have them, water, sunscreen, and wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate work clothes. Trash bags, gloves, and wild game will be provided. We will plan to be back at the College of Forestry and Conservation building at 8pm.
This event is a part of BHA's Public Land Pack Out, an annual event where members maintain the places they love by picking up and taking out thousands of bags of garbage left in the places everyone can call their own. Last year, during one of the most difficult times we can remember, BHA members broke a record and hefted 4,175 bags of garbage out from our public lands. And with your help in 2021, we hope to crush our 10,000 bag goal.
