Are you and your rifle ready for the upcoming big game seasons? Join the Northern Colorado Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers for a day of instruction and shooting to get your rifle dialed in. It’s never too early to start working on shooting skills and we invite both novice and experienced shooters alike to take advantage of the certified instructors from Defensive Shooting Labs and great facilities at the Northern Colorado Shooting Park on July 24th, 2022 from 9 am to 1 pm. There will be a classroom and a range portion of the day. It is an outdoor range so be prepared with layers and sun protection. There will be a grilled picnic style lunch provided after the course!
Firearm Requirements:
- You must arrive with your rifle cased, unloaded, with an open chamber
- All rifles will be inspected by the range instructors prior to instruction
- Bring at least one full box of the ammunition you intend to hunt with
- Your rifle must be scoped and in good firing condition
Participant Requirements:
- Be aged 18 years or older
- Familiarize yourself with the 4 Rules of Firearm Safety
- Treat all firearms as if they are loaded
- Keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all times
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you’re on target and prepared to fire
- Know your target and what is beyond it
- Respect all participants and facilitators
- Make safety your first priority. If you see something unsafe, say something.
- Failure to follow all firearm safety rules and instruction from range staff or event volunteers will result in immediate dismissal from the event.
