Grab your Kayak or Canoe and join Capital Region BHA for our annual summer float and fish expedition. This year, we go for an 11-mile float on the scenic Potomac River. We will put in at Taylors Landing and make our way down to Antietam Creek Campground. Once we make our way to the takeout, we will have a campsite reserved for folks that would like to camp out, cook up some wild game and chat around the campfire. Be sure to pack your fly rod or conventional tackle as this stretch of the river is home to some nice smallmouth!
This is a free, all-ages, family-friendly trip open to members and non-members alike, so bring the whole gang! Please RSVP below to let us know you are coming!
We will meet at Antietam Creek Campground at 8 AM sharp where we will carpool to the put in at Taylors Landing. Make sure you pack plenty of water, snacks and a lunch to hold you over for the day.
