The Pennsylvania Chapter will hold its third “Adopt A Trail” work day at Raccoon Creek State Park on August 11. Volunteers are asked to meet at the park office at 10 AM. From there we will head over to the Wetlands Trail to perform maintenance including cleaning up debris, weedwacking, and trimming back overhanging plants.
Attendees should bring gloves, bug spray, and if possible loppers or plant snips to help trim back over hanging plants. This trail is about 1.5 miles long, and we will be working to make the trail usable to up to six feet wide.
People interested in volunteering please RSVP to Ben Hogue by August 4 at [email protected]. If anyone can bring a weedwacker please let Ben know, as one or two will be needed.
