This is the first step in a project that will improve riparian habitat while also creating new, sustainable public access for anglers. Volunteers will help to clear small and large debris items and remove invasive plant species with hand tools.
Gloves, hand tools, and trash bags will be provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies if you prefer.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate dogs on this site, so please leave your furry friends at home.
This event is open to BHA members, friends, and non-members! RSVP using the link below so we know to expect you.
Parking is on the road shoulder at or near the intersection of Stackstown and Sagerville Roads.
Also, join us for a follow-up event at this site October 13 when we will use hand tools to remove any remaining invasive plants and then plant new, native species in order to stabilize the stream bank and improving habitat in a denuded floodplain. Click Here to sign up for that event.
