September is Public Lands Month at BHA and as part of the celebration, Pennsylvania BHA will take part in the Chartiers Creek Clean Up Day hosted by the Washington County Watershed Alliance in and around Canonsburg Lake and Chartiers Creek.
BHA members will gather at the Canonburg Lake Boat Launch at 7:30 a.m. and spend the day together. Be sure to wear your BHA gear! Address of the meeting spot is 3970 Washington Rd. (McDowell Lane) Canonsburg Pa. 15317.
The clean up will take place at three different sites around the lake, followed by socials at four local breweries (Helltown Brewing, Mondays Brewing, Rustygold Brewing, and Voodoo Brewing). Participants will have a chance to help clean up public lands in the morning followed by a social event with local conservation groups afterwards at each of the breweries. Participants will receive one complementary beverage at EACH brewery and food specials will be available. All are welcome to attend!
Come prepared for working in the heat.
