Oregon Urges Support for State Rec. Fund

The Oregon chapter of BHA joined dozens of local organizations, companies and community leaders in a letter urging support for the Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund (ORCF). The OCRF was created to fund critical conservation goals, expanding opportunities and connecting underserved communities with the outdoors. Unfortunately, the program is at risk of not satisfying the $1 million match from private sources that is required to progress to implementation, and is therefore at risk of failing to proactively protect and enhance Oregon’s, critical habitats and the fish, wildlife contained therein.

It is for this reason that the Oregon chapter urges our members to donate to the OCRF and will be matching funds up to $2500 to help ensure that all Oregonians can experience the state's diverse landscapes and outdoor recreation opportunities, now and into the future.

The deadline to donate to this fund is December 31, 2020
