Orange Hammock was acquired through a partnership between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast. This purchase represents one of the largest undeveloped parcels in the county and is a critical part of a wildlife corridor in the area. Truly a victory for hunters, public recreation, and conservation in Florida. Come out and enjoy one of Florida’s newest WMAs.
We will be meeting at the entrance to the WMA, which is past the gate at Toledo Blade.
To gain access past the gate on Easement Road at its’ intersection with Toledo Blade, please use the Black combination lock. The combination to this lock is 3362. Please ensure you shut and lock the gate when entering and leaving. If you should need any assistance, please call (863) 648 3200.
